St Tewdrics House Wedding Photographer – Bradley and Aidan’s Day

As a busy South Wales wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to work at the finest wedding venues in the area and this is certainly the case when I return to capture wedding photography at St Tewdrics House.   Bradley and Aidan chose the perfect location for their winter wedding.

Situated in ten acres of idyllic Monmouthshire countryside, St Tewdrics is a 19th Century luxury Italianate Villa.  It’s approached by a tree-lined driveway with views of wildflower meadows, so creates a buzz of anticipation before you even arrive.  And no matter how many times I return to capture wedding photography at St Tewdrics House, when I drive in and get my first glimpse of the Villa, its beauty still takes my breath away.

On the day, I got there early so I could get some great pre wedding images.  Both Bradley and Aidan were getting ready at St Tewdrics with their wedding party and there was a real buzz of excitement.

Bradley and Aidan both looked really smart in dark grey three-piece suits with bow ties.

Now I must mention a very important member of the wedding party and that’s Crumpet, Bradley and Aidan’s dog.  Who had made a big effort with his co-ordinated lead and bow tie and was utterly thrilled to be there.

The wedding ceremony was held in The Courtyard.  This light and airy room has beautifully exposed brick walls and twinkly chandeliers.  It also has ceiling to floor windows that provide gorgeous views of the garden.  As well as a glass skylight that bathes the room in tons of natural light, that I played with to create even more beautiful images.

It’s these elegant interiors and the abundance of light that make St Tewdrics House a real favourite with us South Wales wedding photographers.

After the ceremony, Bradley and Aidan walked back down the aisle a married couple to applause from all of their guests.  Before everybody headed outside to the terrace for a drink’s reception.  And I took my chance to capture some great group photos.

Storytelling LGBTQ wedding photography at St Tewdrics House

With guests happily catered for and enjoying exclusive use of St Tewdrics House, I quickly whisked Bradley and Aiden away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the gardens and grounds.  Crumpet joined us and managed to get into a few images as well.  I loved the images of Bradley and Aiden under the wooden pagoda and on the lawn in front of the house.

Here, take a look!

The wedding breakfast was held back in The Courtyard that had been dressed beautifully.  Everybody enjoyed a sumptuous wedding meal and there were some very funny, heartfelt and emotional speeches that went down really well with everybody.

Evening celebrations started with the cutting of the most delicious looking three-tiered wedding cake.  Followed by a fun throwing the bouquet moment and a fantastic first dance for Bradley and Aidan, which produced some of my favourite images of the day.  Here, take a look!

Creative and natural LGBTQ wedding photography

Not that they were out there alone for long.  Nobody at Bradley and Aidan’s wedding seemed shy about hitting the dancefloor.  And I got stuck in there too, capturing some really fun dancefloor moves and antics!  It was so much fun!

I loved capturing Bradley and Aidan’s gorgeous wedding at St Tewdrics House.  A joyous wedding full of love and laughter.  Bradley and Aidan’s wedding was everything they are stylish, laid back and fun!  Congratulations guys and thank you for allowing me to tell the story of your day.  I hope my images will allow you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
